Visting university choir executed in Prague
In addition to performing their individual music, the choir also performed with the University of Hradec Kralove choir on the college campus and with a neighborhood choir inside a castle in Prague. The university choir discovered English music in anticipation of Just take Note’s check out.
“Most of the songs had been in English, so it was a way to share our language, but some tunes ended up in Italian and Latin, so we sang in individuals languages, much too,” Fritz reported. “Their choir sings ‘Missa Festiva’ every single calendar year, so we sang that with them.”
Fritz sang with the women’s choir and the a cappella group at Clyde Significant College. Encountering a musical team in a international state was eye-opening for her.
“It was undoubtedly attention-grabbing for the reason that they have their own way of mastering audio — the way they heat up, and even their space was distinctive. When we performed at the university, they established up risers on wood blocks. It was not what you would see right here,” she explained. “It was great hearing all those people voices. Lots of people today arrived to assistance us.”
And, of course, she was not accustomed to doing in a castle.
“There were being murals on the ceiling, and all people was really welcoming,” she explained. “After every functionality, they had a reception.”

“The espresso was quite unique. They make things in another way. In standard, the foodstuff isn’t super sugary — even the pastries,” she stated.
The society shock was portion of the reason of the trip.
“It expanded our eyesight of the entire world. For most of the learners, together with myself, it was the first time we traveled out of the U.S.,” Fritz explained.
Even though the vacation was making their entire world greater, it was also creating it a bit far more personal.
“The most significant issue about the journey was the choir turned closer,” Fritz mentioned. “It was a terrific time for us. Ahead of the trip, I did not know anyone super effectively.”
Just after the journey, Just take Observe customers discussed the probability of returning to the Czech Republic, and they hope to invite the University of Hradec Kralove choir to Ohio.
